Membership FAQ

Q: how do i schedule my visits to sVa’s properties?
a: All Members are required to call or email us to reserve fishing and/or hunting dates. The Members Only section of our website includes a calendar with open and reserved dates listed.

Q: Will i be able to fish and/or hunt when my schedule permits?
a: Yes. We manage a property inventory large enough to support all of our members on any given day. We do not turn away Members wishing to fish and/or hunt.

Q: is the club membership capped?
a: Yes. Our membership is currently capped at 150 members. We have a 93% retention rate and would only consider allowing more members into the club if our water exceeds 1 mile per member. Member referrals make up the majority of our new memberships. Our Members are encouraged to refer their friends and family members to the club.

Q: Will sVa attempt to add more private Fly Fishing and hunting properties?
a: Yes. Our top priority will be to acquire as many of the finest Fly Fishing and Hunting properties available.

Q: May i transfer my membership?
a: Yes. Members may transfer their membership to a relative for no additional fee. Annual dues will become the responsibility of the new member.

Q: are any membership fees/dues refundable if i choose to resign my membership in the club?
a: No. All membership fees and dues are non-refundable upon verbal or written agreement of membership.

Q: are my family members considered guests?
a: No. Anyone living in the direct household of the member is not considered a guest and has the right to all membership privileges.

Q: May i bring a guest?
a: Yes. Guests may fish with a member on our
waters for a guest fee of $50 per person per day.

Q: are guests allowed to fish and/or hunt sVa’s properties without the Member?
a: Guests of Corporate Members may fish and/or hunt SVA’s properties with or without the Member. Corporate Members receive ten (10) free guest usages. Guests of Individual Members must accompany the Member.

Q: are Members required to have a guide on sVa’s waters?
a: Guides are encouraged but not mandatory. All of SVA’s waters are accessible to Members without a guide.

Q: is lodging available to Members when they visit sVa’s properties?
a: Yes. Members have access to our Luxury Log Homes for a reduced rate and all of our properties have lodging available.

Q: Why is there a no-Felt boot policy on your waters?
a: Since our members fish all across the world, we have chosen to eliminate the chance of spreading invasive aquatic species and diseases such as didymo on our waters.
